Another excellent Edublogs.org weblog

The Pursuit of Happyness’…inspired by a true story of Chris Gardner- a San Francisco salesman who went from living on the streets to working on Wall Street…‘for his son, one man will reach for the impossible…an inspirational and heart-warming story that will stay with you…despite his troubles, Chris continues to honour his commitment as a loving and caring father, using the affection and trust his son has placed in him as an impetus to overcome the obstacles he faces…’ ….Don’t let anyone ever tell you you can’t do something ok? Reflect on your thoughts of the film, think about why it is the pursuit of happiness, what makes you happy, think about life and everything that gets thrown at you, think about survival…

    Pursuit of happiness
I would give this movie 8 out of 10. I really liked it, it was a touching movie. The thing that made it even better was that it was a true story. After all the rough times Chris Gardener went through he became a billionaire at the end.
It was amazing how he actually lived through that time where he had no money, no car, and no home. He was pretty much homeless, and yet he still found a place to live, a job, and put food on the plate. Last of all he looked after his son with so much love.
Chris Gardener is a role model that people should look up to. He really is a hero.
This movie just shows that if you are in a situation like that, it really isn’t impossible to be happy at the end. All you have to is work hard, be wise, be confident, know what you’re doing and last of all believe in yourself.
If I was in a situation like that, I honestly would’ve given up from like the start. But after watching the movie it made me think that if something goes wrong in life, you have to try your best to attack it. You have to try your best to turn it into good not worse. Life can be unfair, maybe it is. But you can’t really plan your life, things happen and something’s you can prevent things from happening.
This movie really was inspirational and people should take it on board during their life time, because anything can happen in life, anything.
I’m glad my life isn’t that hard, I really am. I’m really lucky that I have a home, and that I have a bed to sleep on every night, and last of all food. Without these things, we struggle. And when we struggle it leads to other things. Those other things are really not where we want to end. So we have to make of what we got of life.

I liked this film because it showed the true passion of a father for his son and how he didn’t want to lose his son and how he would try anything to give his son a better life then his own father could. I also thought it was a bit dramatic and weird how he (will smith) had to carry that machine around in most of the movie I just didn’t get what the whole point was but in the end it was a really great movie and I enjoyed it.

I felt pretty sad when I watched this movie cause they boy and the man have nowhere to go and for me it’s a inspiration cause if you watch this no matter what you will always turn out good. And cause they got through all this bad stuff no matter what. and it normally is very sad seeing this stuff seeing people living on the street. i thought it was funny when they acted as they went back in time.. but it turned out good cause he found a job with his boy and lived happy.. this man got alot thrown at him like cant pay rent, didnt have a good job, had to take his child to daycare. :(
