‘I don’t continually question my reason to live. It’s just a state of being. The real question is what you’re doing with the living you’re doing, and what you want to do with that living.’…Mick Jagger
‘What we do for ourselves dies with us, but what we do for others remains immortal’
‘Above all, be true to yourself, and if you cannot put your heart in it, take yourself out of it’…Jackson
As a teacher, my goal in life is to make as much difference as I can in my students’ lives. We all have the right to be respected as individuals, to experience success and to live a happy life. As such I want to give my students many opportunities to reflect on their lives at school and at home. In accordance with my nature and personality, I want to give every one of my students the opportunity to be reflective and expressive with confidence and without feeling ashamed or embarrassed of their thoughts, feelings and of who they are. To help, I try to give my students every opportunity to express themselves through a variety of means, whether it be through class discussions, thought-provoking questions, essay writing, class debates, free style research assignments, who am I posters and mobiles, reflective moments using themes from various films, oral presentations, music and lots more! For many students this may be daunting and challenging, but I am very proud of each and every one of them as they challenge themselves through these tasks. Keep smiling guys!
