We’re about to start the novel ‘Bridge to Wiseman’s Cove’, as such you are to write a prediction for the storyline. What do you think the novel will be about? What happens? Who will be the characters? etc. Write your response in a few sentences.
Soon we’ll be studying, as a class, the novel ‘Heaven Shop’. As a preliminary task (and in a few sentences), I would like you all to think about the meaning of the novel and predict the storyline (write what you think the novel is about)
You all have been given the chance to create your own invention. By now you would be finalising your inventions and designing your poster. Spend a few moments here and in a paragraph share with us your invention, the purpose of it, and how you came up with the idea (very similar to your written task in class).
You know I love to hear from you guys, feel free to comment!!
We all like to have our say and express our opinions on many different things. This past couple of weeks you have had the opportunity to do so through the task of persuasive writing. Through this work, you have been exposed to many differing topics such as school uniform, animal testing, abortion and closure of zoos. As I value your opinion, I would like you to comment on your chosen topic and express in a paragraph your opinion of this topic (just as you have done in your persuasive essay). Make sure you include why you are passionate of this topic.
By now you all would have experienced varying emotions and feelings through researching, listening and reflecting on various songs of your choice. Music and song lyrics are an excellent avenue of expressing yourself and emotions and feelings felt at a particular time of your life. You all are individuals and have varying tastes in music and song lyrics. Be proud of yourself for having the courage to stand before your classmates and present your thoughts and feelings through your chosen song. It’s time now to reflect on this experience. Similar to your reflective task in class, write your comments here.
